The Red Market is where every pound of flesh has a price tag tacked onto it. It is a place where money can buy you everything, even a heart.

Caesar has fallen and a new boss, Mateo, has risen; but he has lost his Lettie Doll and he doesn't know where to find her. She stole his soul and now he must find someone to replace her. Just like her love, his new power is an illusion. The real force behind the Red Market is about to show her cards and no one wants to play her game.

Mateo and Lettie will both have to fight to find their love, but sometimes it is only found in death. You cannot go through life unnoticed by demise when you play with it every day. Sooner or later, it catches up with you and you lose.

**Graphic content warning. Taboo, violent themes prevalent throughout. Reader discretion is highly advised.***

I am unreasonable. I used to be the quiet girl who listened and took what she thought she deserved, but as the pieces of time come back together like a painful puzzle, I am shriveling down to nothing except the splinters of love and psychosis of my mind. I am totally unhinged, yet through this cacophony of chaos, I am strangely finding myself.

-Svetlana, The Goodbye Girl

THE GOODBYE MAN (Red Market #1)
by A. Giannoccaro, Mary E. Palmerin
Published: July 31st, 2015
Genres: Adult, Dark, Erotica, Suspense, Horror
Dysfunctional empires were made to fall.

I am Caesar. Broken and conflicted. I am a man who gives false goodness to those who crave it. I provide solace to the ones who beg to be saved, giving them the goodbyes they want. But, my quiet little world is about to be shattered by the whispers from heaven and hell.

I am Mateo. Unlovable and unworthy. I am the boy everyone runs from. I keep love close to me in little jars of perfection, reminding me of a thousand goodbyes I never had to say, because I left them before they could leave me.

I am Svetlana. Dirty and Used. Birthed into brutality while still trying to comprehend my version of normal. I am an injured lamb, eaten by filthy wolves day after day. Just as salvation seems like it's within reach, a goodbye from this awful world is all that I wish for.

**Graphic content warning including detailed depiction of brutal, bloody acts. Physical and emotional abuse is also apparent throughout this book with graphic sex scenes, both consensual and non-sensual. Reader discretion is highly advised. Not suitable for readers under the age of eighteen or those who are easily offended by the above mentioned acts.**

KAOS OBSIDERE: THE NIGHTMARE HAS BEGUN

Genres: Adult, Horror, Dark
Purchase: Amazon | Kobo | iTunes
Two Cities. Besieged By Evil.
The Nightmare Has Only Just Begun.

Six interconnected short stories (with a BONUS seventh story) exploring the depths of spiritual, emotional, and physical chaos experienced by residents of the city of Divinity, FL, and the City of Apocalypse.

BONUS: Includes author notes and definitions, and the seventh short story "Carnival Street" that links the worlds of Divinity, FL and the City of Apocalypse in a most "terrifying" and "disturbing" way. Experience the " ... visceral terror ..." for yourself.

"Creepy as hell."

"Irreverent, bizarre. I'm sleeping with the lights on tonight."

"Very scary stuff. [The] Gravewindow is a favorite of mine. Transient is terrifying. Skin is visceral. It's like looking under a magnifying glass, decay up close and personal, and it's really disgusting."

"Terrifying!"

"... I love this book! I want two copies ... this is premium stuff!"

"The writing really stands out ... superb ... rich!"

"I'm going to take a short break from this horror ... and breathe some fresh air. You just had to give me the creeps!"

From The Book:

"The choice, now, was simple. Jump the bridge, or cross it. He would decide when he reached the ghostly link between Divinity and Apocalypse, that mythical city beyond. The bridge was ominous enough. Crossing it may be more dangerous, more futile, than throwing himself from it.

Stories of pale men and greedy corporations, heresies and experimental sorceries waxed haunting and sinister beyond the bridge. Few had risked that place, only to return with rumors of dispassionate gods and lecherous angels content to wallow in their contracted oblations. Gods and monsters were not merely superstitions in Apocalypse, they were the populace, and they fed on every living soul.

Jonathan’s side of the bridge, however, held no higher aspiration. Divinity was filled with more subtle deception. Dreams left unfulfilled, or if fulfilled, murderous. Sudden and sanctioned disappearances of long-standing residents were commonplace. The slow burn of many of society’s brightest minds into the descent of atrophy and morbid maladjustment was simply Divinity’s way."

D.C. McGannon and C. Michael McGannon offer new voices in dark fiction and horror, being described by readers as giving honor to such as the classic writings of Poe, Lovecraft, and King.

KAOS Obsidere offers a unique voice to Horror, Dark Fiction, and Weird Fiction. Volume 1 of 3 in a world that continues to expand into the darkest depths of spiritual, emotional, and physical chaos. Not to be missed!

Enter the worlds besieged by evil! Scroll up and get your copy today. You'll be "begging for the next volume" before you finish the author notes.

Intended for mature audiences due to language, graphic description, violence, and themes.

A writer, director, painter, and doodler, McGannon is co-author of the Charlie Sullivan and the Monster Hunters (Wyvern’s Peak Publishing) series of novels for young adults, and KAOS Obsidere: The Nightmare Has Begun (Dark Waters Press). C. Michael McGannon appreciates weird fiction, perhaps a bit more than one should at any given time. It has made him particular, fostering strange phobias, and even stranger dreams. He is fond of dragons, Japanese mythology, and the fine art of delivering timely and inappropriate puns. McGannon is an artist of diverse talents, and is co-author of the Charlie Sullivan and the Monster Hunters (Wyvern’s Peak Publishing) series of novels for young adults, and KAOS Obsidere: The Nightmare Has Begun (Dark Waters Press). Waiting on Wednesday | Menagerie by Rachel Vincent

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights an upcoming book release that I'm looking forward to. This week I'm sharing with you Menagerie by Rachel Vincent, which is the first book in the Menagerie series. This book is set to be released on September 29th, 2015.

When Delilah Marlow visits a famous traveling carnival, Metzger's Menagerie, she is an ordinary woman in a not-quite-ordinary world. But under the macabre circus black-top, she discovers a fierce, sharp-clawed creature lurking just beneath her human veneer. Captured and put on exhibition, Delilah is stripped of her worldly possessions, including her own name, as she's forced to "perform" in town after town.

But there is breathtaking beauty behind the seamy and grotesque reality of the carnival. Gallagher, her handler, is as kind as he is cryptic and strong. The other "attractions"—mermaids, minotaurs, gryphons and kelpies—are strange, yes, but they share a bond forged by the brutal realities of captivity. And as Delilah struggles for her freedom, and for her fellow menagerie, she'll discover a strength and a purpose she never knew existed.

Renowned author Rachel Vincent weaves an intoxicating blend of carnival magic and startling humanity in this intricately woven and powerful tale.

****

Why am I looking forward to Menagerie?

1.) Rachel Vincent is one of my favorite authors.

2.) I really like darker fiction that explores what it means to be human and what can make us inhuman.

3.) I have heard nothing, nothing but good things about this book. I mean, I'd read it just because it's a Rachel Vincent book, but knowing that others are really into Menagerie too, is even better.

You can purchase Menagerie for $9.99 on Amazon!
