Bout of Books 15 | Wrap Up

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, January 4th and runs through Sunday, January 10th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 15 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. - From the Bout of Books team

I'm SUPER happy with how well my reading went for Bout of Books 15! I finished EVERY SINGLE BOOK on my list! That has seriously never happened before in any of the other Read-A-Thons I've participated in. But now it's time to wrap everything up. Below I'm just going to post a recap of everything for the past week.

MY ORIGINAL TBR (1/4):

I plan on trying to finish a few of the books that are STILL on my TBR list. Down below are the books I'm hoping to get to.

WOULD YOU RATHER + UPDATE (1/5):

Today's Read-A-Thon Challenge is hosted by Writing My Own Fairy Tale. We are doing the Bookish Would You Rather? Challenge! Let's get started! Below are the questions!

Would you rather:

Lend books to someone who dog-ears pages or to someone who reads with cheesy Cheetos fingers?

A.) I would rather lend my books to someone who dog-ears the pages. I hate when there's food stuck in a book. It makes the book smell disgusting.

Would you rather:

Be able to meet one character of your choice or meet one author of your choice?

A.) I would rather meet on character of my choice. It's the scenario least likely to happen, so I have to take the chance when it's there.

Would you rather:

Never be allowed in a book store again or never be allowed in a library again?

A.) I would rather never be allowed in a book store again. I'm rarely ever in a book store in the first place, whereas I'm at the library everyday. I go nuts just when the library is closed for whatever reason.

Would you rather:

Have to choose one of your favorite characters to die in their book or have to pick one of your favorite couples to break up in their book?

A.) I would rather have to pick one of my favorite couples to break up in their book. I love romance and couples like the next person, but I'd much rather my favorite character still be alive.

Would you rather:

Be required to read Twilight once a year for the rest of your life or The Scarlet Letter once a year for the rest of your life?

A.) I would rather be required to read Twilight once a year for the rest of my life. It's one of my favorite series and the book that got me back into reading, so it would be a treat. I have no interest in reading The Scarlet Letter whatsoever.

FINISHED!
Waiting to be Read!
Next to Read!

THE RAINBOW CHALLENGE + UPDATE (1/6):

Today's Read-A-Thon Challenge is hosted by Ranty Runt of a Reader! We're doing the Rainbow Challenge today! We are to create rainbow using the covers of books on our shelf or digital library OR using author surnames! I'm choosing to do both.

VILLAIN MASH UP + UPDATE (1/7):

Today's Read-A-Thon Challenge is hosted by Bingeing on Books! We're doing the Villain Mash Up Challenge today! We have to take two villains from two separate books that we'd love to see fight each other and give a short reason why we think these villains should fight each other.

VILLAIN MASH UP

I would like to see Loki from Tro by S.T. Bende and Cronos from Ode to the Queen by Kyleigh Castronaro. The Norse god of Mischief and the Greek Titan god of Time. Both of them are out for power and they are very manipulative and cunning in their ways. I think that a battle between these two would be more of a battle of wits than a physical or verbal battle. I'd love to know who would win.

I FINISHED Taken by Love
on Monday.
I read 10 chapters last
night! I'm about 70%
done with the book.
Ascenders is still waiting
to be read.

SCAVENGER HUNT + UPDATE (1/8):

Today's Read-A-Thon Challenge is hosted by The Book Monsters! We're doing a Scavenger Hunt today!

SCAVENGER HUNT

What to Find:

1. Book Shelves
 2. A book you’re planning to read/currently reading for Bout of Books

I found this book shelf on Google. I love how it is two levels with a staircase going from one floor to the next. And Deal Breakers is a new book I've added to my TBR for the Read-A-Thon, since I'm almost finished with the books on my original reading list.

Me, my book, and my pop.

There are some of the books on my Goodreads "Read" shelf that have blue or mostly blue covers.

COMFY READING SPOT + UPDATE (1/9):

Today's Read-A-Thon Challenge is hosted by Once Upon A Chapter! Today we are sharing our comfy reading spots!

COMFY READING SPOT

So, without going into too much detail about my personal life, I'll just say that I don't have a permanent reading spot since I'm moving around so much. So I thought that instead, I would share my dream comfy reading spot that I would love to have in my own house if I ever got one. I shared this photo yesterday for the Scavenger Hunt challenge.

I FINISHED Taken by Love

I FINISHED Taken by Love

I FINISHED Red Nights
on Thursday.
I wasn't able to read any of
Ascenders yesterday. I'm kind
of disappointed in myself.

I FINISHED Deal Breakers
on Friday.

FINAL UPDATE (1/11):

I finished the last book on my Read-A-Thon TBR! And what's great is that it also counted for my next Read-A-Thon too! This is my first time finishing every book on my TBR and I even added one later in the Read-A-Thon. But now I've got to work on writing all the reviews for them.

I FINISHED Taken by Love
on Monday (1/4).
I FINISHED Red Nights
on Thursday (1/7).
I FINISHED Ascenders
on Sunday (1/10).

I FINISHED Deal Breakers
