Reader Recommends | Throne of Glass

This Week's Topic: Throne of Glass

It’s easily one of the most popular YA Fantasy series out there right now. What books do you think rival Calaena’s epic, fantastical adventure, filled with danger, romance, magic, and action?

I haven't had the change to actually read Throne of Glass yet, so I can't really be a judge on if the books I share are comparable or better than Throne of Glass. I thought I'd just share some Fantasy books that I thought were AMAZING.

UPDATE: Well, it looks like I don't read many books that are purely Fantasy, so I only have one book to share, but it's definitely worth 3-5 books.

I absolutely LOVED IMMAGICA! I'd say that IMMAGICA is more like an epic fantasy than just regular old fantasy, because well it's EPIC! We have a young girl coming of age, being taken to a magical world and meeting magical creatures, who goes on a journey or quest to save the world from destruction. IMMAGICA drew me in and I didn't want to stop reading. I sincerely hope that this will be made into a series, because I would love to read more adventures in Immagica.


Next Week’s Topic (April 9): Steampunk

Victorian Clothing, dirigibles, steam powered everything, gears, goggles, automatons…you know the drill. What Steampunk books should every reader have on their shelves?

    I think that popularity wise, The Lunar Chronicles could TOTALLY compete with Throne of Glass. I can't think of any other series right off the top of my head at the moment.

      I haven't read the Lunar Chronicles yet, either. I'm so behind on all the good Fantasy books out there!

    I haven't read this one, but I do love fantasy. Recommendations: Throne of Glass series, Girl of Fire and Stone series, The Burning Sky series, and Graceling.
