Feature & Follow Friday | Reoccurring Dreams

Feature & Follow Friday is a weekly book blogger meme hosted by Parajunkee and Alison Can Read to help bloggers gain new followers on their site.

This week's question is:

Have you ever had a reoccurring dream? What was it?

My answer:

Yes! It started out as a nightmare when I was a kid, but as I got older I was able to make it more comedic so I wouldn't be scared by it. It's the only dream I've ever had more than once. I actually don't have it anymore, so I must have grown out of it at some point.

So it goes something like this...

My mom is at work and my dad is outside working on the car. I look out the kitchen door window to check on him and everything is fine. I go back into the living room to watch TV. Then all of a sudden there is a knock on the kitchen door. I'm terrified, because why would someone knock on the door when my dad's outside. I know something isn't right. I peek around the partition and see a werewolf-like monster through the window. I make a run for the front door and run down the street and the monster runs around the house after me...

And that's when I usually wake up.

But as time went on and I kept having this nightmare, I was able to change it so that I wasn't scared anymore. It still went the same way until it got to the part of the monster chasing me down the street. Instead of running in terror, I changed it so that we were running a race and crazy weird (but funny) things happened along the race track. As I'm reaching the finish line, my parents are there cheering me on and I win.

Thank goodness for lucid dreaming!

I've also had many dreams where my teeth fall out. Like all of them. Ever since, I've never been able to eat an apple without it being cut up and I am always really careful biting into hard foods.

ALSO: I just posted my Friday Giveaway. It ends Monday at 12AM. Enter here if interested.
I've also started a blog roll, so if you'd like your blog added to it, let me know in the comments.

  1. wow...I don't think I've ever experienced lucid dreaming, where you can control stuff in the dream lol. People always talk about it, but I'm never that aware when I'm dreaming!

  6. Hopping through :) I can't say I've had any recurring dreams - which I guess is nice, as most people seem to be talking about recurring nightmares today, which sounds awful :(
